People hate the gargoyles? They are funny, cheesy, good friends to qusimando and supportive, cheerful, silly and help the movie from being too dark and sad. I like them and all three are enjoyable.

I was comfused about why people didnt like this song at first( I'm Greek, so I'm used to the Greek translation) and after I listened to the english I get why some people are upset: it gives much attention to Quasimodo's looks. Personally, I think it's the gargoyles' way of cheering Quasi up and making him forget about his insecurity,presenting it as his special trait. However, I do still prefer the Greek version, I find it funnier and it focuses less on his appearence and more of the general "type of guy" he is. If you like the song I strongly advise you to check it out!
